HTML5 header
The HTML5 header element represents
introductory content, typically a group of introductory or navigational aids.
It may contain some heading elements but also other elements like a logo, a
search form, an author name, and so on.
Its Usage
The HTML5 header elements can be used for:
· The main header that appears
at the top of every page on the site.
· A header for an individual <article> or <section> within the page.
· In this example, the <header> element used to contain the site name and the main navigation. Each individual <article> and <section> element can also have its own <header> and The <header> element can therefore be used to contain the title and date of each individual post
· The HTML5 header element
is not sectioning content and therefore does not introduce a new section in the outline.
That said, a <header> element is intended to usually contain
the surrounding section's heading (an h1 to h6 element), but this is not required.
